My name is William Yardley. I live in Los Angeles, California with my girlfriend, Louise, a cat, and two rats (Sheldon Brown, and Dr. Gregory Mouse). I'm currently employed as a Senior Systems Administrator at California Institute of Technology.

I'm vegan, and have been for about 16 years. I like cooking and baking, although I don't always have the energy or time to cook as much as I'd like. I have a minor obsession with vegetarian Chinese food. I'm also very interested in Chinese tea, gong fu tea brewing, and Yixing teapots.

My parents live in Morristown, New Jersey, which is where I'm from (about an hour from NYC). My dad works at Columbia University, and my mom works at Drew University in the theological school there. I have a 24 year old brother, Jonathan, who works for the Houston Dynamo major league soccer team, and a 28 year old sister, who lives in the SF Bay area.
